Job Summary:

The Health Promotion and Wellness Assistant works with the Associate Director to support programing, outreach, and prevention efforts. This position is for under graduate students only.

Job Duties:
•Assist with maintenance of the Health Promotion & Wellness webpage
•Assist with the coordination and promotion and implementation of programs designed to improve student health and wellness
•Assist in the development of wellness resource materials
•Promote healthy decision making and positive behaviors on campus
•Research health promotion/prevention related interventions for college student population
•Identify and assist in the development of relationships with community resources that support campus wellness
•Other duties as assigned

•One year of experience (can be volunteer) in health education/health promotion or related field.
•Strong interest and/or experience in alcohol/drug use issues and sexual violence among college students.
•Attention to detail.
•Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•Experience with the following computer programs or equivalent: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
•Experience/knowledge of social media platforms, and ability to use these platforms to promote office programming.
•Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
•Position requires adherence to federal regulations on student information confidentiality.

Experience/Skills Gained:

•Experience in understanding and addressing student health and wellness issues
•Experience with website development and maintenance
•Skills: research, communication, collaboration with campus and community members, office administration, and program marketing.

Work Schedule Summary:

7-10 hours per week. Primarily during normal business hours (Monday – Friday; 8:30a-5:00p), with occasional evening and weekend hours.
