Job Summary:

Under the supervision of Facilities Services staff, positions will perform painting of College buildings to comply with College maintenance standards, safety standards and building code.

Performs skilled painting repairs of buildings and patches sheet rock and plaster.

Properly and safely operates tools including sanders, manual tools, scaffolding, ladders and equipment related to the painting trade.

Keeps work area clean and safe.


Ability to work on ladders and scaffolding and perform physical tasks required to carry out assignments.

Must be able to work in a stooped, kneeling, crouched or squatting position.

Must be able to work with arms extended overhead or in front.

Must be able to manipulate effectively the tools and equipment used in painting tasks.

Previous painting work preferred but not necessary.

Must be punctual and reliable.

Must be a hard worker and dependable.

Experience/Skills Gained:

Will learn to work effectively in a team environment.

Will gain a behind the scenes look of what it takes to run a campus.

Work Schedule Summary:

Work begins May 7th and will continue until August 31st. Preference is given to students that can work full time the entire summer.

M-F, 7am-3pm (7.5 hours)
